SRVUSD Makes AP Honor Roll, Students Break District Record

SRVUSD is the only school district in the U.S. to appear on the College Board's AP District Honor Roll every year of the program's history.

DANVILLE, CA — 92 percent of all AP exams taken by San Ramon Valley Unified School District students in the 2024-5 school year earned a score of 3 or higher, the district announced Friday. This marks the highest success rate in recent district history.

SRVUSD is the only school district in the United States to appear on the College Board's AP District Honor Roll every year of the program's ten-year history.

Over the past year, 4,438 SRVUSD took 10,423 AP exams, one of the highest numbers on record. SRVUSD students also earned 2,404 AP Scholar Awards from the College Board, celebrating high scores on multiple AP exams.

Here are the breakdowns of SRVUSD AP scholars over the past year:

  • 1,254 AP Scholars with Distinction: Scores of 3 or higher on five or more AP Exams
  • 383 AP Scholars with Honor: Averages of at least 3.25 on four or more exams
  • 674 AP Scholars: Scores of 3 or higher on three or more exams
  • 4 AP International Diplomas: Demonstrate outstanding global academic achievement
  • 69 AP Capstone Diplomas: Awarded for excellence in AP Seminar, AP Research, and four additional AP Exams
  • 20 AP Seminar and Research Certificates: High performance in AP Seminar and AP Research

"This is a remarkable accomplishment and reflects the dedication of our students, teachers, and families," SRVUSD Superintendent CJ Cammack said in a statement. "Not only are more students taking AP exams than ever before, but they're also excelling at the highest levels. It’s a sign that our efforts to expand access are matched by a strong commitment to support student success."
