Traffic Advisory in Effect This Weekend For 'Run For Education'

TOWN OF DANVILLE:

Motorists are advised that streets in downtown Danville will be closed early in the morning Sunday October 13, 2013 and other residential streets will be temporarily closed, for the annual Run for Education.

Runners participating in the half-marathon portion of the Run for Education event will begin at the intersection of Hartz Avenue and Diablo Road.

The race gets underway at 7:15 a.m.  Once the runners are clear of the starting zone, the roads will reopen and police will begin a series of rolling closures following the race route. 

All rolling closures should be short term and all roads reopened by 10 a.m.

 

Motorists are asked to use caution in the area and expect delays.
