DANVILLE, CA — The Veterans Memorial Building of San Ramon Valley is hosting a 1920s-themed party in March to celebrate its hundredth birthday. The Centennial Party on March 30 will be filled with food, entertainment, and educational material.

The party will also include an open-house museum showcasing the building's history, and local life in the 1920s. To that effect, the party planning committee is asking the public to scour their attics and basements for any photos of the Veterans Building and activities that took place in it. The building has had a long and rich history, and has also served as a chamber of commerce office, a justice of the peace court, and facilities for a county supervisor, the Red Cross, the Farm Bureau, the Boy Scouts, and much more. Photos pertaining to any of these are welcome.

Email photos to Dennis Giacovelli at houseworks@pacbell.net, or send them to P.O. Box 217, Danville, CA 94526. All physical photos will be scanned and returned. For any further questions, call 925-838-6445.
