Village Theatre's Final Celebration for 100 Years

Village Theatre 100th Anniversary concludes with a Grand Engagement.

The final event to commemorate the Village Theatre’s 100th year, the Town of Danville will hold The Grand Engagement to close the season of celebration.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 16, will include a Gala, an Opening Reception and a Centennial Presentation. From wine and small bites to barn dances, the event will celebrate 100 years of the Village Theatre.

Gala

5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Town Meeting Hall
Taste and savor delectable small bites and wine from local restaurants while viewing timeless photos of the Village Theatre. First 200 attendees to arrive at the Gala will receive a commemorative wine glass. Small bites will be provided by: Bridges, Norm’s, McGah’s, Primo’s, and wine will be poured by The Vine at Bridges and more!

Opening Reception for Barn Dance: Celebrating Our Agrarian Heritage

5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Village Theatre Art Gallery
Join us for the Opening Reception of the latest Village Theatre Art Gallery Exhibition, Barn Dance. This exhibit is a playful gathering of images, sounds and smells (think hay!) in a gallery whose building has been important to Danville through countless seasons.

Centennial Presentation

7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., Village Theatre
Journey through time as local leaders in Danville’s rich history come together and highlight the various ways this historical building has been utilized throughout its 100 year history. Presentations will utilize the vast wealth of talent that is seen throughout the many groups that perform in the Village Theatre.
