17-Year-Old Arrested for DUI, Hit and Run at Wildhorse

Police believe there was also a female passenger in the car at the time.

A juvenile fled the scene of an accident after driving off road and crashing into a street sign in the neighborhood around 11 am Monday.

The accident took place on the corner of Moore Boulevard and Whistler Court.

Davis Police Officers later found the person who they believe to be the driver. They arrested the 17-year-old male and charged him with DUI and hit-and-run. They also determined that he was unlicensed.

“Using the information on the car, [officers] tracked down the subject,” said Davis Lt. Paul Doroshov. “The accident was called in by somebody who was jogging by.”

The department has information from witnesses that there was a female passenger in the vehicle as well, but they do not yet know who that person is and whether or not she was injured.
