City Of Davis: City Hiring For Summer Camp Staff

The City of Davis is excited to offer almost all of its usual summer camps, classes and programs for the first time since the pandemic began. Coming back this summer will be Camp Putah (celebrating a belated 50th anniversary), Arts & Crafts Camp, Teen Camp, Kinder Camp, Summer Sampler Camp, Kinder Camp, PM Kids and Trekkers. In addition, Summer Quest will return with its full-day schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Summer 2022 Rec Guide will be available online in mid-February. Registration will be held over the course of two dates: Wednesdays, March 16 & 30, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Additional details will be included in the Rec Guide online.

In anticipation of a full summer of programming, the City is hiring for many positions such as senior leaders, day camp leaders, camp managers, lifeguards, cashiers and more. All available positions are posted on the city website at: www.cityofdavis.org/jobs

Deadlines vary, so interested candidates should apply early. In addition, Camp Putah will be recruiting volunteers to help with the logistics of that camp for the 50th anniversary celebration. Application information will be included in the Summer Rec Guide.

The Parks & Community Services Department appreciates the support and patience that all participants and families have shown over the last two years as we have navigated the impacts of COVID-19. We look forward to a summer of fun while following any current guidelines and protocols.
