City Of Davis: City Safe Routes To School Program Launches Polar Pedal Challenge

The City of Davis announced today that its Safe Routes to School program will launch its annual Polar Pedal program. For the entire month of February if DJUSD elementary students bike or walk to school, they earn points toward adopting a Polar Bear for their school.

DJUSD elementary schools will work together on a goal to adopt 20 polar bears through Polar Bear International. For every 500 biked or walked trips to school, one polar bear will be adopted. The target goal is 10,000 walk/bike trips for the month of February.
