Valley Clean Energy (VCE) is excited to announce the reorganization of their Community Advisory Committee (CAC) which now includes “at-large” seats focusing on subject matter expertise in various professional sectors. VCE is accepting applications for two at-large seats. The CAC is comprised of volunteers who reside in Woodland, Davis, Winters or unincorporated Yolo County, and acts as an advisory body to VCE’s Board of Directors and staff, providing feedback on agency policies, procedures and decisions.

“As a scientist and someone who loves the outdoors, the urgency to address climate change is clear. Being on the CAC allows me to help VCE succeed in its mission: to provide clean electricity, taking real action on climate change while reinvesting in the community,” said Christine Shewmaker, CAC Member, Former Chair and founding member of the CAC, City of Woodland.
“The CAC is such a valuable resource for the VCE Board of Directors and staff,” noted Mitch Sears, VCE’s Interim General Manager. “CAC members pair a passion for meaningful engagement on local energy issues with a solid business sense, adding important community input to VCE’s decision-making.”
