City of Davis Adds Special Storm Debris Pick-Up
If you still have a pile of branches left in your yard from the recent storms, help could be on the way.

DAVIS, CA -- If you still have a pile of sticks and branches left over in your yard from the recent storms, help could be on the way -- and just before a new storm's expected to blow into town later this week.
Due to the large quantity of downed limbs in residents' yards, the City of Davis is having Davis Waste Removal (DWR) perform a one-time special pick-up of yard material piles during this week. The pick-up will occur on residents' regular on-street yard waste pick-up day.
“We’ve had a lot of large limbs and trees blown down,” City of Davis Public Works Director Bob Clarke said. “Because of the safety impacts the debris is posing to the community and the hardship that this is causing our customers to clean up all of the storm debris on their property, we have authorized DWR to perform a special pick-up of yard debris and street sweeping.”
