Davis High and Da Vinci Charter in Top 3 for Best SAT Scores

The Sacramento Business Journal ranked the region's "25 smartest public high schools" by SAT score.

Students at Davis Senior High and Da Vinci Charter Academy have some of the best SAT scores in the greater Sacramento region.

According to a ranking of 2010-11 scores by the Sacramento Business Journal, Davis Senior High School is No. 2 in the region, while Da Vinci Charter Academy is No. 3.

The average SAT score at Davis High was 1,815; the average score at Da Vinci was 1,783.

Mira Loma High School in Sacramento, within the San Juan Unified School District, came in at No. 1 with an average SAT score of 1852, the Business Journal reports. 

Other area schools that made the list include Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove, Oakmont High in Roseville and Rio American High and El Camino Fundamental both also in San Juan Unified.

Five schools from San Juan Unified made the list — the district with the most schools on the list.
