Fabio Pitches Supplements at Davis Whole Foods
Fabio is touring Sacramento-area Whole Foods Markets this weekend to promote Healthy Planet Nutrition products.
Fans of famed pitchman Fabio didn't immediately have the chance to mob him for autographs and photos during an appearance at the Whole Foods Market in Davis Friday.
First they had to listen.
Fabio spoke for nearly an hour about the benefits of Healthy Planet Nutrition protein powder and other supplements.
"You don't have to be a scientist or a doctor to understand your body," Fabio told members of the crowd within earshot.
He gave a detailed talk extolling the benefits of whey protein, the amino acid glutamine and more.
The crowd waiting for photos and autographs was a mixture of the college-aged and middle-aged, who likely remember Fabio either as a recent spokesman for Old Spice or a former romance novel cover model.
Davis resident Chris Joe, the first in line, brought a tub of "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" for Fabio to sign.
