Huge Spider Photographed at Train Depot

Just in time for Halloween, the spiders are out in full force in Davis. At least according to the commenters in one online forum. 

Check out this comment thread on TrainOrders.com, in which a user posted a photo of the Orb Weaver at the . Davis resident Stephen Hjellum had this to say about the photo:

I happen to live in Davis and I do shoot spiders. I love em to, er, (no pun intended) death... That is a beautiful Orb Weaver. Last time I shot that was before UP started to Fence Project. There were a few Orb Weavers hanging out in the bushes next to the West leg of the Wye south of the Depot. They're now gone, as UP (or a contractor) cleaned everything up there. Oh well, there's always next year…
