Man Cuts Own Neck Repeatedly; Yolo Deputies Stop Him with Bean Bag Rounds
The man began repeatedly cutting himself with a three-inch folding knife in front of the Brooks Mini Mart.

A Yolo County Deputy Sheriff approached a man at the Brooks Mini Mart (near Cashe Creek Casino) Thursday. After being approached, the man reached into his truck and pulled out a folding knife with a three-inch blade. He then placed the blade against his neck.
“The deputy ordered him to drop the knife,” according to a report from the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office. “But the subject began backing away from the deputy. As the deputy continued to try to talk the subject into dropping the knife, Cache Creek Casino security, California Highway patrol and other deputies subsequently arrived on scene to assist.”
After that, the man started cutting his neck repeatedly. In an effort to protect the subject from causing further injury to himself, a CHP officer fired multiple bean bag rounds from a less lethal shotgun, “striking the subject before he finally complied with deputies orders to get on the ground.”
