Today: Memorial For 7-Year-Old Who Fell from Ski Lift

A memorial service for John Henderson, 7, will be held at Friday morning.

Henderson died after a at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort Sunday. While investigators look into the details of how Henderson fell, community members and neighbors are mourning the loss of the child.

Henderson was in second grade at . His family has asked that if donations are made, they should be given to the school, or to Jesuit High School.

The family released a statement in the Sacramento Bee, saying Henderson was a “rambunctious child” who enjoyed baseball, soccer, biking and skiing. Read the full statement here.
