How well does Davis city government share information with residents?

The City of Davis could legally stop posting meeting agendas -- but won't.
Last month, that local jurisdictions—cities, counties, school districts, water districts and special districts—post meeting agendas for the public. The suspension also allows local jurisdictions to forgo reporting to the public about actions taken during closed-session meetings.
Davis, however, will not go in this direction.

"We have a longstanding practice of putting information on our website and involving our community at all levels of government," said City Clerk Zoe Mirabile. "If we are cutting corners, that would not be where we choose to cut."
Davis Mayor Pro Tem Rochelle Swanson added that if anything, City Council members were looking for ways to provide more information to residents, including making it easier to view council meetings online.
