The Avid Reader Will Double in Size Friday

The vacancy left behind by didn’t last long.

Just a couple of months later, the departed toy store is being replaced by the , which is expanding from its location just a few doors down. The store will essentially double in size when the new store opens, which will likely be on Friday, June 1. The address is 605 Second Street. 

Wendy Weitzel of the Enterprise reports that the new store – dubbed Avid Reader Active – will feature “active” resources having to do with travel, cooking, and other how-to-esque subjects. Novels, and other such literature will remain in the original store.

In the past year, and have closed their doors.
