Unsure Why You Started Getting this Newsletter? Here’s Your Answer.
Remember when Davis schools won $100K after one family decorated their home for the holidays? You signed up for this newsletter way back when you voted. Sorry for the delay!
I’ve had a few conversations around town lately with people who started receiving the Davis Patch newsletter a few weeks ago, but weren’t entirely sure why.
Everybody I’ve spoken with has said they find the letter very useful, but its arrival seemed random. I really don't want people to perceive the letter as spam, so I want to quickly explain why you started receiving it:

Not surprisingly, tons of Davisites got on board and voted daily, resulting in , courtesy of Patch. As was explained on the Deck the House site, those voters created a newsletter account prior to voting for the first time.
The emails should have been added into the system immediately after the contest, but instead, it didn’t happen until the end of May – which is crazy, but it also explains why you started receiving the letter at that time.

I apologize for the delay. We hosted the contest on an independent site (to ensure a fair voting process). That's the main reason it took so long.
I’d encourage you to spend some time scanning the newsletter this week. Think of it as a free newspaper in your inbox. You can easiy scan it, and choose to interact with the content if you’d like. (I strongly encourage it!)
