Annual Three-Day Komen Cancer Walk Concludes Sunday
Organizers say the annual, 60-mile trek is expected to raise $3,000 for cancer research.

The annual Komen San Diego Three-Day Walk fundraiser that began in Del Mar is scheduled to conclude Sunday with a celebration at Petco Park.
The hundreds of walkers who began the 60-mile trek on Friday at the Del Mar Fairgrounds will go through Old Town and Hillcrest before heading to the East Village for the 4:30 p.m. conclusion.
Friends, family and supporters of the walkers are encouraged by the organizers to get to the stadium about one hour ahead of time.
"It's an experience that you must have in your lifetime,'' walker Kris Trockey told 10News Friday. "It's life-changing.''
Others said it was a sign that they weren't alone in their fight against the disease.
One woman told CBS8 she was walking in memory of her sister, who died after a 20-year battle with breast cancer. Another said the disease took her child at the age of nine.
Special cheering stations are set up along the route to urge the walkers on.
Organizers say the walkers usually raise an average of $3,000.
The walk is the second major event for Susan G. Komen for the Cure this month in San Diego. About 14,000 people took part in the 17th annual Race for the Cure.
