Police Ask for Help Finding Carmel Valley Burglars

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Northwestern Division are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate unknown suspects wanted for a residential burglary.

On May 13, 2014, at 12:30 p.m., residents arrived at their home which is located in the 14000 block of Caminito Punta Arenas in the Carmel Valley Neighborhood.  A male sitting inside a silver Ford Focus was parked on the street next to the home.  The male asked the residents for driving directions.  After assisting the male with directions, the residents went inside their home and discovered that it had been ransacked.  Witnesses saw two males running down a slope near the residence and got into the Ford Focus and drove away.  Witnesses stated that they saw the Ford Focus parked on the same street earlier in the day and at the time, it was occupied by three males and one female.

On May 15, 2014, the same male who asked the residents for directions was seen driving a white Toyota 4-door sedan in the area.
