Volunteer for Emergency and Disaster Training Starting Soon in Del Mar
Del Mar, Encinitas, Rancho Santa Fe and Solana Beach residents are encouraged to participate in a free upcoming disaster training.

DEL MAR, CA - Del Mar, Encinitas, Rancho Santa Fe and Solana Beach residents are encouraged to participate in an upcoming disaster training that will poise them for success in the face of hardship.
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) sessions prepare attendees to care for themselves, their families and their neighbors in the event of an unforeseen incident. The next five-part course kicks off locally on April 26 and includes orientation, medical training and disaster psychology, among other focuses.
The classes are free and open to all residents or employees of the aforementioned areas who are 18 years old or older.

"With training and practice and by working as a team, you will be able to do the greatest good for the greatest number of victims after and during a disaster, while protecting yourself from becoming a victim," Del Mar officials said in a community alert about the sessions.
