Driver Sought in Hit-and-Run Crash that Injured SGV Teen

The 18-year-old had just finished a shift at the Olive Garden and was walking home with her boyfriend when she was struck.

Police asked for the public’s help Saturday to find a hit-and-run driver who struck and seriously injured an 18-year-old woman in Hacienda Heights.

Isabel Gonzalez of La Puente suffered major injuries when she was struck at 11 p.m. Sunday on Gale Avenue at Riderwood Lane, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, which reported Gonzalez has undergone four surgeries and remains hospitalized at County-USC Medical Center.

The Cal State Los Angeles student had just finished a shift at an area Olive Garden restaurant and was walking home with her boyfriend when she was hit.

Lucy Solis, Gonzalez’s aunt, told The Tribune her niece suffered broken ribs, a fractured skull and pelvis and internal bleeding.

Gonzalez has been breathing on her own since Tuesday, Solis said.
