Diamond Bar AYSO Cottontail Country Classic Tournament

Diamond Bar AYSO will host it’s 18th annual Spring soccer tournament the weekend of April 9th & 10th, welcoming 144 teams and more than 2,000 coaches & players to the beautiful City of Diamond Bar. 

There will be carnival-like booths and activities at as well at , and . The older kids will split between the four spectacular sports/soccer fields at Cal Poly Pomona.

Teams come to the tournament from as far east Pahrump, Nevada & Bullhead City, Arizona; as far south as Mira Mesa and as far north as Santa Barbara. The economic influx to Diamond Bar has historically proven to be 8-10,000 persons over the course of the weekend.

All teams compete in flights of eight and play in three to five games over the two-day tournament. Each participant & coach receives a full-color t-shirt and commemorative lapel pin. All teams advancing to the semi-final & final rounds of play (roughly one half of all teams) will receive medals.

Diamond Bar AYSO is a local region of the American Youth Soccer Organization, established in 1964 to “provide world class youth soccer programs that enrich children’s lives.”

  • South Pointe Middle School
  • Lorbeer Middle School
  • Pantera Park
  • Maple Hill Elementary School
  • Peterson Park
  • Evergreen Elementary

AYSO is the oldest such organization in the Country and is founded upon the six basic philosophies that Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship & Player Development. At all levels of this national organization AYSO is 100% volunteer-driven.

Diamond Bar AYSO, Region 31 celebrated it’s 35th Anniversary in 2008, having served the children and families of Diamond Bar and the surrounding communities since 1973.
