Evergreen Elementary hosted participated in the national Mix It Up Day with lunchtime activities on October 29.

“Lunchtime seating was arranged so they could mix it up and get to make new friends from other grade levels,” said Principal Carolyn Wills.

The students participated in fun contests and Sparky, the Evergreen Eagle mascot, was there to join in on the fun.

“Having students connect with each other in fun ways help create kindness in our school and is one of the many ways we combat bullying and encourage positive social skills with our students,” Wills said.

“Our fabulous Noon Aides Janeene Stanley, Maria Cardoza, June Kim, Deborah Barela, Melissa Bangloy, and Nan Body under the direction of School Psychologist, Dr. Diana Ketterman with support of Custodian Jorge Romero did a great job and created a fun, engaging experience for our students,” she added.
