Recycle Unused Paint at Diamond Bar Drop-off Event
Saturday, December 11, 2021, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., SCAQMD Parking Lot

PaintCare makes it easy and convenient for residents throughout California to recycle unused, unwanted paint. Through this one-day event, PaintCare and the City of Diamond Bar are providing the community with yet another convenient way to recycle paint.
What: Free and convenient one-day paint drop-off event. Residents and businesses can safely and easily drop off unused paint for recycling. Households may bring any amount of paint, stain, and/or varnish. Limits may apply to businesses, see below.
PaintCare Will Accept: Unwanted house paint and primers (latex or oil-based); stains; deck and concrete sealers; and clear finishes (varnish and shellac). Paint must be in sealed, original containers with the original manufacturer label.

PaintCare CANNOT Accept: Leaking, unlabeled, or empty containers; aerosol spray paints; drums or containers larger than five gallons; hazardous waste or other chemicals, such as paint thinner, solvents, motor oil, spackle, glue, adhesive, roofing tar, pesticides, or cleaning chemicals.
Who: Open to all California households and businesses. Sponsored by PaintCare, a non-profit stewardship organization responsible for paint recycling programs in California, nine other states, and the District of Columbia.

Where: South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Parking Lot, 21865 Copley Dr., Diamond Bar, CA 91765
When: Saturday, December 11th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Space is limited. Eventbrite registration is required to attend this event. The event will be held rain or shine.

COVID-19 Update: Please do not attend the event if anyone in your household is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. Prior to the event, you must register at https://paint-diamond-bar.eventbrite.com (if you are unable to register online, call (855) PAINT09). Place all paint materials for drop-off in your vehicle’s trunk or the bed of your truck. During the event, you must remain in your vehicle and unlock your vehicle’s trunk to allow event staff to remove the paint materials. Participants are requested to follow the current recommendations and requirements of the CDC, local, and state health officials to protect yourself and others from the spread of COVID-19.
Business Limits: To use the PaintCare program for oil-based paint, a business must qualify as an exempt generator under federal and any analogous state hazardous waste generator rules. Please visit www.paintcare.org/VSQG for more information on exempt generator rules. If your business does not qualify as an exempt generator, it will not be able to use the program for oil-based paint, but it can still use the program for latex products.
