Authorities ID Man Killed In Vacaville Crash

Officers arrived to find a vehicle had overturned onto a sidewalk, leaving one person fatally injured and another critically injured.

VACAVILLE, CA — The Solano County coroner's office has identified a man who died at the scene of in a solo vehicle crash in Vacaville Sunday night as Ed Reynolds, 53, of Vacaville. The crash was reported around 7 p.m. near the intersection of Alamo and Tulare drives, Vacaville police said.

Officers found an overturned vehicle on the sidewalk when they arrived, and two male occupants inside were unconscious.

The other victim, also believed to be in his 50s, was taken to a hospital where he is in critical condition.

The crash closed Alamo Drive until around 1:20 a.m. Monday, police said.

Lt. Keith Hopper said police are not sure who was driving the older model Chevrolet Nova but both occupants were not wearing a seatbelt.

The driver lost control, left the road and flipped over, Hopper said.
