2-Year-Old Boy Drowns, Regains Consciousness at Stratford Avenue Home

The boy was transported to Kaiser Hospital in Vacaville under improving conditions.

A Dixon's families worst nightmare would have come true if it not for the CPR training of a Dixon resident.

Dixon firefighters responded to a home on the 500 block of Stratford Avenue at 11:30 a.m., in response to a report of a drowning, according to the department's Facebook page.

The parent of the 2-year-old boy, who had reportedly drowned in a swimming pool, retrieved their son and began to administer CPR.

According to the fire department, once the arrived at the home, the boy was regaining consciousness.

"The boy was rapidly transported via ambulance to Kaiser Hospital in Vacaville under improving conditions," said the Fire Department's Facebook posting. "Current status is unknown at the time of this writing."
