• Dixon Vets Hall damaged in break-in (thereporter.com) — Dixon’s American Legion Veterans Hall on First Street was heavily vandalized in a recent break-in, with fire extinguisher damage throughout and more than $1,000 in cash reportedly stolen. Local veterans and supporters are urging anyone with information to contact the Solano County Sheriff’s Department, while a GoFundMe campaign is raising money to repair the community gathering space. 
• Waymo to begin testing robotaxis in more Bay Area cities (mercurynews.com) — Dixon is one of seven Solano County cities where Waymo has been cleared by the state DMV to test driverless “robotaxis,” potentially bringing autonomous rides to local streets in the future. The company still needs a separate permit before offering paid rides, and residents across the county are split between excitement over better transportation access and concerns about safety and job impacts.
