The Dixon American Legion Post 208 announced its plans for 2012 fireworks sale at three separate locations in Dixon from Thursday June 28th through Wednesday, July 4th.
Sales of the “safe and sane” legal fireworks will be held in several places around Dixon from 9 am to 10 pm each day.
The American Legion formed a coalition of groups after last year’s successful fireworks sales netted community groups thousands of dollars for the non-profit, local organizations.

This year the Legion and several of its sub-organizations received three locations in a drawing held earlier this year.
The three locations: Safeway parking lot, West A Street by the freeway and Jack-In-The Box. The booths will be manned by the following members of the non-profit consortium: The American Legion, the American Legion Riders, the American Legion Auxiliary, and Dixon Toys for Tots, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, Dixon Moose Lodge, Rough Riders and Marine Motorcycle Clubs, and a Travis AFB Support Unit.

Fireworks buyers wishing to support any or all of these organizations need only purchase their legal 4th of July fun from any of the three booths. Each organization will share in the overall total profits from the three booths combined.
