Charity Poker, Fall Festival & Parent's With a Mission Happening This Week in Dixon

1. Eat to Defeat: Support Domestic Violence Prevention

On Thursday, October 17, the Kaiser Permanente Family Violence Prevention team will join efforts with several other organizations in hopes of raising public awareness and money in support of local organizations, like Dixon Family Service, working against family violence.

2. Free Breast Screening for Uninsured Women

Saturday, Oct. 19, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Sutter Davis Imaging, 2020 Sutter Pl., Suite 102, Davis, CA 95616 530-747-5030

To qualify for the free screening, women must be uninsured, 40 years or older and call in advance. Space is limited.

Women will receive their results from Sutter Davis Imaging within several days after their visit. Sutter Davis Imaging will connect women who have an abnormal result to local not-for-profit agencies with which Sutter regularly partners so patients may take next steps and receive follow-up care.

3. Tremont Fall Festival

Saturday, October 19, 2013 12-3 p.m.

Tremont School, 355 Pheasant Run Dr. Dixon

Come to TREMONT SCHOOL this weekend for the annual Fall Festival. There will be carnival games, a bounce house, raffles, food, drink and desserts! The Girl Scouts will have a booth along with Hair Bows, Hair Feathers and More! There will be performances by Ramtown Karate & Dixon Dance Studio

Come DUNK your favorite teacher Mrs. Berke, Mrs. Fulgham, Mrs. Clarke-Vivier or even the Principal Mrs. Laughter.

Don't miss the CAKE WALK and HAUNTED HOUSE in the Multi-purpose room(both benefit the 6th grade for their end of the year social and leadership activities).

Last but not lease we will have the BOOK FAIR open throughout the whole festival!!!!

4. Dixon Lions Club 6th Annual Poker Night Fundraiser!

Saturday, October 19, 2013, 6:00 PM 

This is one of the biggest fundraisers in Dixon!  The 6th annual Dixon Lions Club Poker Night Fundraiser! 100% of the proceeds go to those in need in Dixon, some of those that have benefited are: outdoor education trips for elementary school children, toys for tots, DHS scholarships, youth sports programs, wreaths program, Dixon Relay for Life, Dixon Public Library, Bids for Kids, Dixon Teen Center, Dixon School eye exams & many more.

Your $75.00 ticket donation includes poker with a chance to win prizes along with our famous tri tip sandwiches.  No host bar, must be 21 to enter.

5. Spaghetti Dinner

Saturday, October 19, 2013, 5:30 PM

Parents With A Mission (PWAM) is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner on the 19th of October from 5:30 - 9:00 PM at CornerStone Church located at 185 W. Cherry St. in Dixon. PWAM is also hosting 50/50 raffle and auction during the Spaghetti Dinner.  The drawing for the winning 50/50 Raffle ticket will be around 8:30 PM and the winning raffle ticket holder will not have to be present to win. Proceeds will go to support a mission trip to Encenada, Mexico, as well as to fund a new running water system for an orphanage in a village near Encenada.
