Dad Who Bit Off Infant Son's Nose Sentenced to 22 Years

A Solano County judge sentenced Joshua Lemar Cooper, 20, on Monday, for the March 2014 incident.

FAIRFIELD, CA- The man who bit off his 1-month-old baby’s nose two years ago was sentenced to serve 22 years and four months in prison, according to the Daily Republic.

The Daily Republic reports that Joshua Lemar Cooper, 20, of Fairfield, bit off a large chunk of his infant son’s nose in March 2014, severing a third of it from his face.

Police were able to find tissue from the severed nose in his Fairfield apartment, allowing reattachment after a several hour surgery, reports say.

The Daily Republic also reported that Cooper tested positive for marijuana at the time of the incident.
