• Dixon Police Release Statement on Recent Officer-Involved Shooting (crimevoice.com) — Dixon police have released new details about an officer-involved shooting on December 7 in the 6800 block of Sievers Road, following a traffic stop that began on North First Street and continued to Pedrick Road off I‑80. The driver was hospitalized, no officers were injured, and the Solano County District Attorney’s Major Crimes Task Force is now leading the independent investigation.
   

• Dec. 18 Vallejo/Vacaville A/E Source: Faces and Places (thereporter.com) — Dixon students and other Solano County ag majors can now apply for nine Friends of the Dixon May Fair scholarships totaling $31,000, with applications due March 1, 2026. Several 2025 awards went to Dixon High students, and completed packets must be mailed to the Friends of Dixon May Fair in town, making this a strong opportunity for local families with college-bound ag students.
   

• Seven graduate from CA Farm Bureau Leadership program (appeal-democrat.com) — A Solano County ag professional who helps manage operations for Dixon Bee Co. is among seven graduates of the California Farm Bureau’s intensive Leadership Farm Bureau program. Their 10‑month training focused on advocacy, communication, and key issues facing California farmers, potentially bringing stronger industry leadership and connections back to operations that serve Dixon‑area growers.
