Update: First Alarm Called Off, Fire Contained
Flames burned cloverleaf along Midway Road
Update: 3:04 p.m.: Dixon Battalion Chief Greg Lewis said the fire is contained at this time. The firefighters have about a half hour of mop-up work to do before they can close out the incident.
No injuries were reported and flames burned cloverleaf on both sides of Midway Road, Karlen said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Dixon Fire Department is responding to a report of a grass fire along east Highway 80 at Midway Road.

Traffic may be impacted along east Highway 80 because of the fire. An alternate route is available of Weber Road to Pitt School Road if you plan to drive to or through Dixon.
