Dixon United Methodist Church Thanks Community
Pastor Cathy Morris wishes to say thank you to various members of the community who made the steeple raising event possible

Dear Editor:
The members of the Dixon United Methodist Church would like to thank the many members of the community who have supported the church’s renovation and steeple project over these last 25 years. It was delightful to have so many in attendance for the steeple installation on Jan. 5.
We are also delighted to hear from community members that they are pleased with the appearance of the new steeple. It has been our hope throughout this long process that we would not only replace the steeple, but replace it with a design that all could enjoy for years to come.

There are some people we would like to thank for their efforts and contributions: Mark Brothers, steeple designer and project manager; Karl Freeman, structural engineer; and Altec Industries for their donation of an Aerial for the placement of the steeple cap.
There are still some finishing touches. The steeple base will be painted white once the weather becomes warmer and drier.

There will be a dedication ceremony on May 1, 2011 at 10 a.m. We hope members of the community will join us for this event.
Very Sincerely,
The Rev. Catharine M. Morris, Pastor
