Jogger Robbed At Vacaville Park, Police Say
Police released a suspect description and are stepping up patrols at the park.

VACAVILLE, CA — Officers are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect in a robbery that took place Thursday evening in Lagoon Valley Park in Vacaville, police said. The case began when a man sneaked up behind a woman as she jogged uphill on the steep tower trail near Butcher Road in the park around 7:30 p.m., according to police.
The man pressed a blunt object into the jogger's back and demanded her valuables, which she immediately handed over, police said. The man then made his escape down the hill, according to police.
The suspect is described as a black man about 30 years old with a medium build, about 6 feet tall with collar-length dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a white sweatshirt and gray sweats, police said.

Officers searched the area to no avail and are continuing the extra patrol into the weekend, according to police. The Community Response Unit will be out in full force on dirt bikes, police said.
