Tremont 4-H Club Learns How to Model

The gang at Tremont 4-H Club of Dixon learn about fashion at a Winters fashion show

 Splash of Color Fashion Show
By Molly Jones, 9 years old

On Feb. 5, 2011, at the Winters Community Center there was a fashion show.  It was to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  I and other members of the Tremont 4 H Clothing and Textiles group attended the show. The show was put together by Sydney Stewart, a high school student. She wanted to raise money for St. Jude Children’s hospital because she “has a heart for children”.

I really enjoyed the fashion show. The clothes were really nice. ln the show there was a swimwear section. There were styles for teenagers and little kids.  The models walked the cat walk, some were really funny, and the little kids were really cute.  The hairstyles were high, some were really pretty, and some were really wild too. There were a lot of skinny jeans, high heels, and boots for the girls. There were also a lot of hats and sunglasses for the boys. I really thought it was good.

Fashion Show
By Gabi Alcantara, age 11

On Feb. 5, the Sewing Project went to a fundraiser Fashion Show for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. It was at the Winters Community Center. There were 14 kids in it from ages 1-18. The themes were Cool, Cowboy and Casual. It was really cool to see how they model. There were different booths set up and a raffle with many prizes. Overall, it was a great day and a nice event.
