BART Delays, Peninsula SigAlerts: East Bay Traffic Digest

EAST BAY, CA — Good morning, East Bay Patch readers!

Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022. Notably, BART is reporting major delays due to equipment issues, and two SigAlerts have been issued on 17 southbound near Los Gatos and 35 northbound near Daly City.

Incidents

Residual delays on I-680 Southbound north of Castlewood Dr (Pleasanton). Center Divider affected. Expect delays.

Severe traffic alert and Traffic Collision with Injuries on CA-17 Southbound south of Madrone Dr (Los Gatos). All lanes closed. Avoid the area.

As of 6:32 AM, BART reports major delays in the East Bay, Millbrae, Daly City and SFO Airport directions, due to an earlier equipment problem on the track in the Transbay Tube.

Traffic Collision on US-101 Northbound south of N Shoreline Blvd (Mountain View). Lane affected. Expect delays.

Severe traffic alert and Traffic Collision on CA-35 Northbound between Hickey Blvd (Daly City) and King Dr (Pacifica). All lanes blocked in both directions. Avoid the area.

High winds on I-580 Eastbound and Westbound between S Vasco Rd (Livermore) and Grant Line Rd (Unincorporated). Lanes affected. Traffic advisory in effect.

Closures

Bridge work and Long-term construction on I-580 Eastbound exiting at Bayview Ave (Richmond). Off Ramp closed until 11 PM.

Long-term construction on I-880 Southbound exiting at 23RD Ave (Oakland). Off Ramp closed until midnight.

Bridge work and Long-term construction on I-580 Eastbound between Erlandson St (Richmond) and Bayview Ave (Richmond). Right lane and shoulder closed until midnight.

Roadwork on I-580 Eastbound at Main St (San Quentin). Left shoulder closed until 2 PM.

Roadwork on US-101 Northbound between E Washington St (Petaluma) and Old Redwood Hwy (petaluma) (Petaluma). Various lanes closed until 2 PM.

Long-term construction on CA-29 Southbound ramp to I-80 W (Vallejo). Connector ramp closed. Expect delays.

Roadwork on US-101 Northbound between Bridgeway (Sausalito) and CA-1 N (Sausalito). Lanes closed until 8 AM.
