BART Track Closures Scheduled in Alameda County for Two July Weekends
Some East Bay BART passengers will need to plan ahead on the Fourth of July weekend and the weekend of July 16 and 17.

Alameda County, CA— On the July 4th weekend and over the weekend of July 16 and 17, BART passengers will need to take a bus between the Fremont and South Hayward stations to allow the agency to prepare for the expansion of its Hayward maintenance center and for its Silicon Valley extension.
Crews will be installing crossover tracks, which allow trains to switch between tracks. Ten to 15 free buses will run two routes. One route will take passengers between the South Hayward and Fremont stations and another will take passengers between the South Hayward and Union City stations, BART
officials said.
All buses will be accessible to people with disabilities and paratransit buses will also be in operation. Passengers should plan to add 30 minutes to an hour to their trips, according to BART officials.
