DUBLIN, CA — Don't dump or burn your Christmas tree this year — recycle it instead in Dublin.

One of the worst parts about the end of the holiday season can be figuring out what to do with your holiday tree. Luckily, there are several recycling options. But first, trees must be stripped of lights, tinsel, garlands, ornaments and stands. Flocked trees will not be able to be composted.

Boy Scout Troop 905 will pick up trees on Jan. 3, with a minimum $10 donation. Reserve your pickup by Jan. 1 at 5 p.m. at this link.

Or, curbside pickup for single-family homes on your regular collection day will be available from Jan. 5 to Jan. 30. Trees must be cut to four feet or less, according to the city.
