Dublin Breaks Ground On Forest Park, Plans For 2 Francis Ranch Parks

The city broke ground on its 27th park last Wednesday, which is expected to be finished in about a year.

DUBLIN, CA — America’s Backyard is about to get even greener. Last Wednesday, Sept. 18, Dublin leaders gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony on Forest Park, a two-acre park located off Central Parkway that will be the city’s 27th park. The upcoming park, which is expected to be complete in around a year, will feature 140 new trees, fitness stations, a shaded group picnic area, two age-specific playgrounds, and a multi-use sports court that will include the city’s first futsal court.

The city is also in the process of designing two new neighborhood parks in the Francis Ranch Development, and is looking for community feedback on the parks’ appearance and amenities. Each park will be 5.5 acres. To give your input, complete this survey by Friday, Sept. 27.
