Dublin Burger Joint One Of Best East Bay Lunch Spots: Diablo Magazine
Diablo Magazine included this Dublin mainstay on its list of top diners, dive bars, and comfort food classics across the region.
DUBLIN, CA — For great burgers in Dublin, Diablo Magazine recommends traveling to another European capital: Athens Burger Restaurant.
The Greek burger and sandwich joint just across the street from the Civic Center was included in Diablo Magazine’s “East Bay Diners, Dive Bars, and Comfortable Classics.”
The magazine looked around the area for “local restaurants that open early for breakfast, prepare hot lunches and satisfying dinners, and pour you a drink for a reasonable price,” and landed in Athens. “There’s a Greek twist to the burgers at longtime favorite Athens Burger in downtown Dublin,” the magazine wrote. “Try the fried zucchini with the restaurant’s signature burger, a steak sandwich, or a Greek-style gyro.”

Fantastic breakfasts (don’t miss the covered and smothered dishes) and equally delicious lunches. Portion sizes are very generous. Same very friendly and accommodating staff. A solid restaurant with a good reputation for delivering deliciousness,” wrote one happy reviewer.
