Dublin To Fly Pride Flag In Front Of Civic Center
The Dublin City Council will lead a ceremony Tuesday to raise the Progress Pride Flag.

DUBLIN, CA — The City of Dublin will raise a Progress Pride Flag in front of the Dublin Civic Center starting Saturday in recognition of Pride Month, the city announced. On Tuesday, June 4, at 5:30 p.m., the Dublin City Council will hold a special ceremony to raise the flag, which members of the public are welcome to attend.
The city is also celebrating Pride Month on Thursday, June 6 at the Dublin Farmers’ Market, where guests can enjoy Pride-themed giveaways, crafts, and a special performance from drag queen Ava LaShay.
Nearby Sunol has been the center of a long-brewing controversy after the school board voted not to allow the Pride flag, or any flag besides the American and California state flag, to fly outside schools. The two board members who supported the resolution are facing a recall vote in July, Alameda County’s first recall of 2024.
