Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station Reopens Amid Police Activity, 'Hazmat'
The station closed for a portion of Thursday afternoon while authorities worked to clear the area.
DUBLIN, CA — BART closed its Dublin/Pleasanton station for a few hours on Thursday to mitigate a "hazmat" situation, according to several reports.
The station closed just after noon and reopened as of 2:15 p.m., BART said.
The agency initially said the station was shuttered due to "police activity."

Another account from Fox KTVU 2 said the station was closed due to an equipment problem that was reported by witnesses who saw smoke and something burning at the station.
ABC7 reported that police had cleared a "hazmat" situation.

During the closure, bus service Wheels provided transportation between the Dublin/Pleasanton and West Dublin/Pleasanton stations.
