Dublin Police Hosting Drug Takeback, Document Shredding Event

Residents in Dublin and across the country can dispose of unused or expired medications, documents, and e-waste.

DUBLIN, CA — Dublin Police Services will partner with law enforcement agencies across the country in hosting a prescription drug takeback day at the Dublin Civic Center on Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is part of a national effort spearheaded by the Drug Enforcement Administration to provide a safe, convenient and responsible way for the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes to prevent misuse and possible addiction, and learn more about drug abuse risks.

At this free, anonymous event, residents can bring unused or expired medication for safe disposal. Only prescription drugs, tablets, capsules, and other solid forms of prescription drugs will be accepted. Intravenous solutions, injectables, and syringes will not.
