DUBLIN, CA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. And Tri-Valley is full of them.

We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

This submission comes from Yanet Fukazawa of Dublin, who nominated Michele Coulliette of Dublin:

What does the nominee do for work?:
She is a manager at the BACC (church)

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Ever since the quarantine started Michele along her husband Jason and daughters Jenda and Phoenix have been holding “Front Porch Parties” to feed whoever needs it. Anybody and everybody is welcome to come and grab a burger or just say hi while practicing social distance. One of the stories she recently shared is of an elderly neighbor with no family around who came by to chat and have a bite. He has been coming by every weekend and excited to interact with others. We look forward along with my kids to stop by and say hi and it’s very encouraging to see neighbors stopping by and cars driving by and making a stop at the house with the balloons

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
