I-680 Lanes To Face Regular Nighttime Closures
Caltrans said that lanes of a 9-mile stretch of both northbound and southbound will close nightly, on no particular schedule.
DUBLIN, CA — A nine-mile portion of both the north and southbound lanes of I-680 will close nightly on an intermittent basis due to construction, Caltrans said.
Both lanes of I-680 between Alcosta Boulevard in Dublin/San Ramon and State Route 84 in Sunol are subject to closures at unspecified times between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. at any night of the week.
The same stretch was closed on holiday weekends in 2023 and 2024 for construction. Currently, Caltrans says it is working to rehabilitate existing roadway on the northbound lane, and rehabilitate existing roadway and add a new express lane on the southbound lane.
