Iron Horse Trail Bridge Installation Begins, Closures Expected
Lane closures are expected over the next week on westbound Dublin Boulevard as the city begins installing the Iron Horse Trail Bridge.
DUBLIN, CA — Drivers are advised to avoid westbound Dublin Boulevard at Scarlett Drive over the next week after 9 a.m., the city advised. The city is receiving sections of the future Iron Horse Trail Bridge for installation, which will require lane closures throughout the day.
The $14 million, 230-foot long, 20-feet high free-span bridge aims to create a safe crossing over Dublin Boulevard for pedestrians and cyclists hiking the Iron Horse Trail. Construction began in April 2022, and is expected to finish in the fall.
San Ramon has started construction on a similar bridge at the trail’s intersection with Bollinger Canyon Road. See here for more information on the Dublin project.
