DUBLIN, CA — Dublin will host the Tri-Valley's only No Kings Protest, joining over 1,800 events across the country and the world protesting Trump administration policies. The protest is scheduled by Dublin City Hall Plaza on Saturday from noon to 1:30 p.m. PT. According to Indivisible Tri-Valley, the protest's organizers, more than 1,000 people have already registered for the event.

The protests are being held on Trump's birthday, which coincides with the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. A grand military parade has been planned in Washington, just days after Trump controversially deployed the military to quell protests in Los Angeles, against the wishes of local leaders. On the same day at the same time, the city of Dublin and Camp Parks are hosting a celebration of the army's birthday at Don Biddle Park, which will also feature live demonstrations from military personnel.

"On June 14, 2025, the American people will show the Trump regime we reject authoritarianism. President Trump can roll tanks through DC and deploy the military against peaceful protestors in LA, but we will show up by the millions to demonstrate that Trump’s tyrannical crackdown only deepens our resolve," Indivisible Tri-Valley said in a news release.

The Dublin protest is officially called "No Kings No Dungeons" to protest rumors that the former FCI Dublin building will be used as an ICE detention facility. Indivisible Tri-Valley has already hosted two protests at the shuttered prison for that reason.

Speakers will include Indivisible Tri-Valley co-founder Ward Kanowsky, Laura Brown on behalf of deported Livermore resident Miguel Angel Lopez, and Rev. Jennifer Murdock, pastor of Lynwood United Methodist Church.
