• Dublin Spelling Bee Champion Offers Spelling Bee Coaching (patch.com) — A Dublin High School junior is offering free weekly online spelling and literacy coaching to elementary and middle school students in Dublin, building on the Tri-Valley’s strong spelling bee tradition. Through her Bee Stars program, Kopal Tare has already helped more than 100 local kids boost their spelling skills, confidence, and competition readiness.
   

• While out on bail in kidnapping case, Oakland man charged with child trafficking (sanluisobispo.com) — A man facing kidnapping charges is now being held at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin on new allegations of trafficking two teenage girls, with bail raised to $670,000. Prosecutors say he was arrested at an Oakland hotel after police found the teens in his room. He has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to return to court in January.
