Dublin Election Results: Josey, Qaadri, Kuo, Cherrier Retain Leads

Vice Mayor Jean Josey and Planning Commissioner Kashef Qaadri appear poised to serve the two at-large seats on the Dublin City Council.

DUBLIN, CA –Early morning results Wednesday still show Jean Josey and Kashef Qaadri ahead for two open seats on the Dublin City Council, and William Kuo and Dan Cherrier ahead in the race to represent Areas 3 and 5 of the Dublin Unified School District Board.

Dublin voters are weighing in on new councilmembers, school board members, water district members, and more. Mayor Melissa Hernandez is running unopposed for re-election, and counts 5,118 votes as of 1:09 a.m.

  • Dublin City Council: Lynna Lan Tien Nguyen Do, Jean Josey, and Kashef Qaadri are all competing for two seats. As of 1:09 a.m, Jean Josey led with 4,113 votes. Kashef Qaadri had 2,901, and Lynna Lan Tien Nguyen Do had 1,920.
  • Dublin Unified School District Board: Kristin Speck is running unopposed for Area 1. Incumbent William Kuo is facing challenger John Wu to represent Area 3, and incumbent Dan Cherrier is facing challenger Sameer Hakin to represent Area 5. As of 1:09 a.m., Kuo led Wu 609-369 for District 3, and Cherrier led Hakim 662-351 for District 5.
  • Area 2 of the Dublin San Ramon Services District Board of Directors: Director Ann Marie Johnson is facing challenger Jim Brady. As of 11:51 p.m Tuesday, Johnson led Brady 1,934 to 1,392. This race is not featured on the results below and can be found here.
  • Area 5 of the DSRS Board: Incumbent Arun Goel is running against Seema Badar. As of 1:09 a.m., Goel led Badar 984-510.
