Speeding 580 Driver Found With 270 Pounds Of Cannabis: CHP
A driver going over 100 miles per hour on I-580 was found with huge trash bags of cannabis and thousands in cash, police said.

DUBLIN, CA — A driver speeding at over 100 mph on westbound I-580 was arrested on narcotics charges, according to the California Highway Patrol.
On Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 9:55 p.m., a CHP officer stopped a 2018 Honda Accord for speeding over 100 mph on westbound I-580, CHP said. When approaching the driver, the officer noticed a strong odor of cannabis, and observed multiple trash bags of cannabis in plain view. A subsequent search allegedly uncovered 270 pounds of cannabis, and $36,703 in cash, according to CHP.
The driver was charged with traffic violations, and possession of cannabis with intent to sell, and booked at Santa Rita Jail.
